Hopper, Dump O/O's & Drivers

My heater prob is that valve/blend door under the seat. Now just gotta get 1 and find time to change it. Riceland has a space heater in the sample house so I can thaw out once I get there which is nice. Pretty cold all day today. 1 of the 55 Detroits started idling crazy and not falling back when letting off to shift so I dropped it off at the shop. I hoped it was the throttle sensor but the mech said the codes showed the ECM is out. He drove it 1/2 mile and said it quit acting up for now so drive it til it goes again then we'll change it out. I wonder A. how long will that be and B. where will I be next time it goes out.

 

In the meantime, you could see if you have an inverter strong enough to run one of those little $15 space heaters. You may only be able to run it on low but it'd take the edge off in a space that small, barring any large air leaks.

 

Did anybody see what the pric of oil has JUMP TO $90.00 A barrel they had beter watch it or the system will shut down again because people will noth havwe any extra money not that they have any extra now .

 

Yeah I've heard the drivers have had to buy fuel with their own money before because their fuel card was shut off. I guess that's one way to make money!

You gotta love those guys that don't think twice about cutting in front of a lot full of trucks...I guess it's too much to expect for them to get out and ask if they're unfamiliar with the process.

 

Kaji I asked the boss for one. Those IH's are a lot tighter cab than the FL's and I think it would help a lot.

 

Riviana announced today they're building a rice processing, packaging, and distribution operation in Memphis at the port. I hope that's good news for us around here.
