I don't know about a ear full but more like a big tow bill. When the snow gets deep the tow bills go up up up.

I hear you there. I'm sure he'll be really proud of that car when he gets the tow bill. :biggrin_25523:

I have seen this guy on the road several times over the years. I guess he doesn't care about the weight. Has anybody ever talked to him?

Thanks dairyman. Yes, home every night. I am hooked up with a grain buyer and will see how that goes to get started. I started out doing this years ago and then went to hauling midds full time before jumping to OTR and flats. I have a lot of friends that run local and out of state for years pulling hoppers and we talk on a regular basis so I have an idea what is going on. I will be getting Interstate authority but will be running a 100 mile radius of the house for awhile. I think I will stay busy.

How much did that setup cost you, if you don't mind me asking?

Nice looking T-8, Big John. Looks like about the same wheelbase as mine, and same color of blue on the top half. What kind of suspension does it have? Good luck with it.

Around $42,500.00 for both. The truck is a 01' and they put a new motor in it in 03' and has 550k on it. I am buying it from the 2nd owner and he has all maintenance records from the time it was new, most of the work done at MHC Kenworth in Springfield, MO and Tulsa, OK. The virgin bridgestone tires only have about 10k on them. Truck drives straight and the cab is quiet, no raddels and no body damage. Overall truck is in great condition with no oil leaks.

Trailer is a 2003 Timpte 42x96x66 I am buying the trailer from the dealer and I am getting it with a new tarp, 4 new bows and a set of tarp saver cords installed. It has about 60% virgin rubber and brakes. It is also in great condition with aluminum wheels, no dents in the hoppers and only body damage is a fist size dent on the rear panel.

I have been looking at hoppers for a long time and they always have seem to hold a good value. Resale is great on the trailers and a good used one is hard to come by in the year and price range I was looking at. He had a 07' Wilson 43x102x66 for $27,900 with a new tarp that was in good condition but it had the ag hoppers and I wanted the bigger hoppers.

The WB is around 233 and the suspension I don't know what KW calls it but it looks like a mess. Some type of torsion bar suspension. I need to cut it off and mount a Pete air ride suspension and then it would be perfect. lol

I think yours is a darker blue then this one. It has the plain interior and the truck is real clean on the inside also. The only thing I am going to do is replace the driver seat it is original and not in good shape and replace the factory steering wheel.

    RW. Thanks this.
