I like it real well, it runs good and it is fun to drive. I do miss my Pete but not when I am trying to get around some of these elevators that were built in the 30's,40's and 50's. I do love that ISX Cummins and It runs quiet and pulls good. I am averaging around 5.5mpg but that is running short and heavy.

What's everyone up to? I am busy and the rates are staying up their for know and fuel is still at $3.69. Some of the smaller elevators are getting empty and since I have a short sided trailer I have been able to load inside where some of the tall trailers are unable to because the builders couldn't see into the future. lol.

Hauled milo today probably wheat tomorrow. Diesel is $3.87 here. May have wheat to haul until end of next week. It depends on how many trucks haul on it. There seems to be a lot so probably go somewhat fast.

Doesn't surprise me they just keep getting bigger. Sun Valley has some trucks on that wheat haul I've been on. Think they are mainly back hauls for them.

Bought fuel for 3.649 today, and was glad:biggrin_25521:.Sounds like you bought the right spec'd trailer,Big John.Glad you and wheathauler are staying busy. Rates are so-so,depending on who i'm hauling for,my farmer customers are actually stepping up a tad,but brokered commodity loads back from the processors are dragging behind a little, but they know i need a load back. Put new brakes on drive axles Monday,so only got 4 loads this week so far,but it's paying the bills with a tad left over for me,so i'm not complaing.

Wheathauler,ya'll get any rain this week so far?

Everybody stay safe out there,I had a friend that's a milk-hauler for DFA that was killed last friday on Cumberland PKWY hauling milk with a tri-axle. Tire blew out and truck rolled. Sad deal,to say the least.

DairyMan, so sorry about your friend.

    Fuel here is $3.899.

Hubby is not longer pulling hopper, but doing local runs for a distribution center. Our broker just wasn't working for us anymore. By wed, the rates would just tank. Hubby was getting more and more frustrated with the situation.

We haven't been on this new gig long enough to really know how we will do, but he's enjoying being home every night. AND I'm making him eat right. LOL No more truck stop junk. He's lost about 12 lbs. Got about 40 more to go.

He's pulling a flat, so lots of strapping and unstrapping. Usually gets about three loads a day in. So he's not cooped up in the truck anymore. :biggrin_255:
