Thanks for all the kind thoughts and prayers folks,'preciate it. Randall left behind a sweet little 8 year old daughter ,so ya might keep her in your prayers for a while, she's having the toughest time with it,as you can imagine.
Glad to hear your hubby's likeing his new gig,Mrs.Bullhaulerswife. I used to haul an occasional load of air-conditioners out of Lexington when things slowed down in the spring, but i never got used to sleeping in a motel and with this 'ol day cab, that was my only option. Always paid good though. Leased my flat out to a friend last fall.
Have a good day everyone, and check the air-pressure in them steers folks!Big John, bullhaulerswife, RW. and 3 others Thank this. -
ya know dairyman i was in somerset, ky over the weekend and i saw a few of the milk haulers coming through town going to the plant, and they really look like a professorial bunch, sorry to hear about your loss.
where about on 80 did he have his accident.dairyman Thanks this. -
. I see them all a lot since one of my bigger farmers i haul grain for has his bins just west of Somerset in Nancy right off of 80.
To answer your Q,he actually wrecked on Cumberland PRKW,not 80,but 80 runs right along beside it for a long ways. Steer tire blew out as he was west-bound with a diverted load(high bacteria)that had been turned down at the grade A plant in London and he was being sent to the cheese plant in Glasgow.
You get in this neck of the woods often? -
Wheathauler, did you get many wheat loads booked for next week?
-
Sorry to hear about your friend, dairyman.
I got down to your state again this week, going to have to figure out a way to get a little farther toward your neighborhood and meet you one of these times.
The cheapest fuel I saw was $3.749 in Heyworth, IL, but it seemed mostly around $3.85-3.90 range. My hometown still has the distinction of being the most expensive I've seen, $4.059 right now.
This thread could turn into a flatbedder thread if we're not careful.....bullhaulerswife and dairyman Thank this. -
I think I will be hauling more milo next week. Merchandiser said may be hauling wheat from other elevators too.
