Good, I don't think I will ever buy a CAT engine ever again. It is a lot more quiet and pulls dam good. It hasn't complained yet about me loading the wagon, it just does it's job.

I am averaging 5.7. I have 90 gallon tanks and fill up every two days when I am running. So I check it and keep records at every fill up. I had a driver tell me the other day he is averaging 5.5 with a 359 Pete, manual CAT 3406 and Propane system. I asked how he checks his fuel mileage and he said every once in awhile he will compare his weight ticket between location. Take the difference in weight divide by the weight of a gallon a diesel and that tells him how much fuel he used and then divided by the miles and that is how he comes up with his MPG. (I think I explained it right, anyway I think you get the picture) :biggrin_2559:

Another funny one is there is another local hauler that was putting new locking fuel caps on his truck. A friend of mine ask him if he had some fuel stolen and his reply was, yes I think so my MPG was 3/10ths less this time on my IFTA report. :biggrin_2559:

There are some loads but you can't bounce on them. Even with a backhaul there is too much dh to make much money. Diesel dropped to 3.97 but it really doesn't help all that much.

Sound kinda negative must be all this wind and dust. Allergies are really bad right now because of the lack of rain.

I'm just like ya with the bounce,i called on a broker load of ddg from ethanol plant in In. going by the house to just south of Knoxville,Tn.that paid $2.46/loaded mile, but with deadhead miles it was gona end up clearing .49 cents on 657 total miles:biggrin_25513:. Too dang cheap for my blood, but some fool will take it just so they can ''cash-flow'':biggrin_25526:

Thanks for the insight on the sand and water hauling. It seems the more things change, the more they stay the same.
