Man, I need to reconsider what I was offered for my '011 highside Timpte I guess. I'm considering going to a 48' spread and was offered $34,500 in trade. I gave $42,500 a year ago. I know they kill you on a one year trade, but $20k for a 11 year old trailer versus $34.5k for a one year old superlight.......????? I'm keeping what I've got!

Do any of these higher sided hoppers have air dumps that allow you to get the same height as a 66" trailer? I would like the extra room for flexability but if I can't load at some locations I'm in trouble.

Keep looking, they are a lot of highsided trailers around and not a lot of short sided ones. I gave $23,500 for a 42x96x66 Timpte back in February at Wilson in Dodge City that was ready to roll. I also had a friend that picked up a new 2011 Timpte with the slopped ends for $29,000. A guy bought it new for $36,000 and pulled it for 10k miles and got out of the business and that is what he owed on it. Their are some good deals out there. I think I could pull my trailer for a year and get my money back out of it or close to it.
Their was a local hauler here that traded in a '97 Merritt hopper for a new Wilson and they gave him $17,000 trade in. That is what he paid for the trailer three years earlier. -
Most of those on I-55 are not for sale. Not sure if they are storage or rentals. Arrow in Springfield has a couple that look promising. -
Ive got a 76'' sided trailer, have loadede out of the field under grain carts and combines and never had a problem. I dont think you would have any problems especially with a 72'' sides.

Custom harvesters went home for a few days since the wheat isn't ready in Kansas. A rare thing.
