Funny, That was just what I was thinking last night. It is going to be nice to pull under the auger, load and not be doing the pull up dance. Nothing worse than standing on the hopper with wind in your face and racing down to pull up two feet. Then repeat.

Glad your okay Highside. I have a present coming to you in the mail, you can wear this while driving. It will give you a little added protection while cruising threw those ruff neighbor hoods and the kids will think it is cool. :biggrin_2559:

Well, I'm done hauling for ADM FOB Trucking. The per mile is ok but with the wait and time they shutdown I can only get 3 loads a day. So dropping last load of corn now and start bringing beans into ADM at a better rate that will pay for the wait time. But this is off a farm being paid for by another company.
I don't understand how these guys haul for ADM every day. You are lucky if you can gross $400/day.

Some don't know any better. Once harvest is over all the elevators around here will close at 4 or 4:30. It makes it hard to get very many loads in a day. Most outfits usually pay better for off farm loads.

I sat at Tyson for 7 hrs yesterday to get a load of poultry meal. The kicker is there was only 3 other trucks in front of me to load. Needless to say I was not happy.

Well at least on my side you have 100’s of trucks going through every hour. There is no reason for that kinda wait. ADM from the first conversation last week was asking if I would haul for them during harvest and wanted a rate for corn that is 4-miles from facility. Told him today it would be $105/hr. He said he could cover it for $70. Told him wouldn’t come near this place during harvest for less than $1,200/day.

Pole Position at ADM Decatur for tomorrows opening. Of course I had to get here at 5 pm the night before. I feel like those people that camp out for after Christmas sales.
