Had an e-mail today on a load. It paid a whopping $1.35 a loaded mile. Will pass on that.

Im seeing a lot of lowball rates the last couple weeks. Ive had my trucked parked and been busy catching up on work around my small farm, sold cattle last friday, and have been cutting weeds out of pastures. Its getting really dry here, the corn is twisting up pretty bad, if this hot dry weather continues its not gonna look good come harvest.:biggrin_25513:

Got a run that starts next week running corn from northern Mo. down to Joplin Mo. to Mars pet supply for 6 weeks. Does anyone know anything about Mars as far as time waiting to get unloaded? Also doing a backhaul of wheat out of Bronson ks. back north. Any body been to the Bronson elevator before?

Mars is a crap shoot, not sure how they do it these days, but they used to test the grain coming in extensively. Not a place to be in a hurry, typical pet food place.

I only load outbound at the pet food places and they're pretty quick. Except for that one place out in Miami, Ok that left me sitting for 7 hours. Only took them an hour to load once they got me in though.

I'll probably pass you a few times running that way. White t-600 pulling a container with the weirdest antennae you've ever seen.

Well, one antenna at least. I'm still scavenging parts to build the other one.

It was 108 here today baked a pizza on my deck plate at lunch. Fuel has went down .03 cents paid $3.67 today but rates have went down also and it looks like loads are getting a little scarce for me. May have to hit the road again, who knows. Hope everyone else is doing good.
