I think rates are going to be depressed until harvest anyway.

Wheathauler ive been keeping an eye on what trucks are doing what, maybe its to much time waiting to load at the flour mills . Anyway theres a local end dump company H&K ok some of there trucks are pulling central kansas truckings hoppers, but the trucks say not for hire under there name. And there running county plates but they hauled some wheat in from oklahoma to kansas. This is the shady stuff that makes it tough for the legit companys. Is this legal ? Keep your eye out highside or wheathauler the truck in question is a beat up blue freightliner mid ninetys.

Still am for now not sure for how long though.

Don't think it would be legal unless they are renting the trailers. Either way it shouldn't say not for hire. They should have central kansas on side of trucks and be running IRP plates if they are leased to them. I saw three H&K trucks during harvest and they weren't real bright.

    dairyman Thanks this.

Weird that they get away with that. Gave a guy a ride last night who moved here from CA. He got pulled over 5 times crossing Kansas just for having cali plates. Got here, got KS plates, never bothered again.
