The only good thing about the heat and drought, I have seen very few mosquitos. Alaska does sound good though.

I wonder if there is any work for a hopper in Alaska?

That is a good question. I guess we could all sell our trucks and pool our money together and by a crab boat. Running a boat, running a truck it is close. We sit around complaining about the weather, complaining about expenses and fuel cost. The boat will have a little more horsepower then what were use to but we won't need to worry about tires. I think the only problem we would have is fighting over who will be captain. :biggrin_2559:

Busy enough to be tired of this darn heat!!! Between running the engine fan ALL DAY LONG, and getting a good frothy sweat going while starting a nice hard load of midds, I'm officially ready for a blizzard! :yes2557:

As long as we got a reality TV show out of the deal, thats where we would make the money. :biggrin_2559::biggrin_25517:

I saw a guy talking about working on a crab boat on another forum. He goes out every season and makes more money than at his regular job. He said he was a doctor.

It is hard to go to work today when they say the high will be 112. This is extreme even for Kansas.
