Still rather slow around here. One broker had wheat for 17 cents for a 95 mile trip one way. Heard of worse but he DH would kill me even with a return load.

108 yesterday supposed to be 106 today. The weatherman says cooler next week we will see.

Yuk, that's like a $1.50/mi. I have seen some of those low rates posted. Are people actually hauling these at those prices? My hopper has been parked for almost a month, and appears it will stay that way until corn starts getting shelled around here.

No rain here either to speak of since it shut off in early June. Peoria north looked like there was some heavy stuff on the radar yesterday.

Did see some guys shelling corn out west of Springfield today. Did not get to stop, but am curious what it made.

Use your tax returns/W2's. IL Department of Revenue might have some kind of form to verify?

Wow central IL has found its home here huh? As far as the Curry deal, would imagine Beelman would take most anyone that was on with the previous co.

Tuesday evening south of Auburn on the west side of I-55, there was about 100-150 acre field that was shelled, with 4 big JD combines parked at one end with grain carts. I think things might start happening the week after Labor Day here. That's really early, but with this heat and no rain, the corn won't take long to dry down. Burn down might be the more fitting word.

God be with the harvesters and keep them safe from fires while in the fields as dry as the crops are. Maybe a little rain will fall before then.

Rice harvest about to begin here. Because of the spring flooding most of it is going to be late.
