Here on bushel rates if you get detained too long the will average out what you are hauling and pay detention. I'm not sure if ADM passes the whole rate to the farmer or not but all contract drivers here are on hourly. I just think the guy directing was a bit clueless plus wanting to mix some dry and wet corn.

I talked to a farmer at moundridge today. He said his beans made 4 bushel to the acre. They plowed all 300 acres of milo under and are hoping they can get the wheat to come up. Its looking rough for the hoppers in our area this winter. He said his irragated corn only made 100 to 140 bu. barely breaking even on the water bill. He was pretty down hes been farming sense 1977 and its his worst year on record. Crop Jocky

You guys getting rain in Kansas? It started raining here before noon and hasn't stopped yet. They are calling for rain tomorrow and Monday. Thank God it finally showed up.

Big John,is it just the land-scape thats harder on your truck? I've never done any of the belly dump work,just watched a few on you-tube but can't tell much from the videos.

So far we have gotten .64 and there are still showers around. It's nice to see after being so dry.
