I felt it as well. The wife and I were watching a movie, and the house started to shake. It felt just like when you're in your sleeper on a windy day. Took me a second to figure out what the heck was going on!

I'm with kajidono...something weird is going on down in OK.

Rained out thursday on harvest work in IL. Spent the weekend as VIP lol with BigBadBill and his wife Lauren. Played on a tractor yesterday. We're hoping the weather holds and we can hit the fields again tomorrow. If not, then it's back to freight hauling for me... :-( yeah I know that sucks, but not really...

    BigBadBill Thanks this.

Just got the word an hour or so ago, my harvest work is done.. .. for this year. It wasn't a blockbuster as far as money goes, got a late start, weather really messed things up for me.. ..but I still made more these three weeks than typical 3 weeks of freight hauling and put way less miles on my truck. Also learned the ropes so next year I know exactly what to do. I worked for hourly wages and paid by the weight/load at different times. I have new found respect for you drivers who have been doing this all these years. It's not difficult work but the hours are long and it will wear you down. I really love doing this work, no logbooks, it's cool.. ..just bust it and make money.. Had a call once, tired as hell, they asked "you want to do another one or call it quits?" was they kidding?? I never see this kind of money and they think I'm ready to quit lol?? About 10 or 15 trucks working with that farmer and none of us quit.. anyways, I can't imagine trying to find some of these farms on the gravel "roads" I've been riding down without the cell phone for back up lol. You gotta laugh at some of the farmer directions, turn left when you see the irrigation system, etc... I got a few pics while I was out there will try to post them when I get time...

dairyman, Big John and BigBadBill Thank this.

Glad you had a good time and made some money with the hopper. I always liked it and the challenge, I will be back pulling one in the future.

Well, thought I was going to haul wheat. There will be a crane in the way of where we would dump so guess I have some time off. Always something.

I was laying on the couch and wife said did you feel that, no I didn't but looked up and she has some glass pretties on a metal hanger and they were moving back and forth. They said it was 4.7, I am waiting on the big one. Insurance companies are getting call after call for earthquake insurance. lol

It has been raining since yesterday morning and still coming. It is good for the farmers and oil field companies to. It sucks that I am shut down for a couple days because of it but it will be better in the long run.
