I would love to hand over a bill for time lost, 4 hour minimun of course. I think these portable scales are a bunch of crap. They have plenty of scales out on the highways already, penny-pinchin SOBs. The portables would disappear pretty quick if we could bill them for time lost if we're legal. They need to have more reason to pull us over outside of the regular scales then just we're drive "BIG" trucks.

Hey dairyman. I'm not too far from you. A little further south from what I can gather. I am somewhat new to the area and am still learning what goes on around here. I have been pretty slow lately with my hopper. I wouldn't expect you to tell me much, but, do you know of anyone needing trucks, or possibly some good contacts? I don't want to step on any toes, but, thought you might have some info. I have been beating on doors with pilgrims and tyson, so far no luck though. Thanks. Sorry to not pm you, but, not enough posts.

    dairyman Thanks this.

Yep WH,i thought the same thing when i saw him go ahead and pop the boot up on his cruiser before he walked up to the truck. I thought,''this feller is gona be sad when he gets done doing all this work and won't even get to hand out an overweight ticket'',but your right,i'll bet he thought i was heavy or he would'nt have went to all the trouble. Most of the farmers that run that stretch of road all come into the terminal at Owensboro weighing 90,000+,heck i've seen 102,000 lb tickets on a regular basis by one large farmer:biggrin_25513:

I'll send you a pm,spax. Grant Farms trucks have been hauling corn out of O.Grain to Perdue in Franklin,my grain merchant said Tyson bought 200,000 bu.from O.G. lately, and i know the Grant trucks have been hauling it out faster than we can bring it in:biggrin_2554:

3.99 in missouri, 4.09 in kansas, 4.14 in nebraska, 4.22 in south dakota, and 4.45 in north dakota. Figure that's all credit price, though.

$4.15 here in town, $3.99 in McLean, IL yesterday. Getting pretty tough to find for under $4. :biggrin_25513:

Meanwhile, the "experts" are going on and on about how great the economy is because gas prices have fallen. The lunatics are officially running the asylum.
