Yeah, we're staying busy, but hauling more midds. That always translates into "fun." How are things in your neck of the woods?

Slowing down since harvest is 'bout done. It was a good harvest for me though, can't complain. A lot a farmers in my area decided to sell their cows and become ''grain farmers'' but they have not got the ''supertrucker bug'' yet,so i've stayed purty busy hauling off the farm, but it's just a matter of time till they all run out and buy 'em a rig. May have a couple more decent years until they get their bins up,hopefully. Looks like it's back to hauling DDG and meal/hulls for a couple of months till Jan/Mar contracts.
Happy Thanksgiving everbody!highside Thanks this. -
Who has their own power washer and what brand? Since I don't make it to the big city much anymore to visit the Streakin Beacon and the local car washes don't like big trucks I am considering buying one on a trailer. We have a local Hotsy dealer and have used their washers before. I made a mistake years ago when I was 18 and owned a detail shop, I purchased a power washer from a manufacturer/dealer in Texas and it was a piece of junk and they went out of business a few months later so cheap is not always best.
Fuel is around $3.80 here in town -
We have an Aladin, can't remember the model number even though I used it today. It does a great job, has a burner, plenty of pressure. There is a dealer about 50 miles away, one of the main reasons we went with this brand. It wasn't cheap, but it should last for a long time, making it a little cheaper in the long run.
Big John Thanks this. -
I have a Farley's pressure washer. http://www.farleysinc.com They are built in Siloam Springs Arkansas. It has thousands of hours on it and has never had any major problems.Big John Thanks this.

With a dealer close by, I'd go for the Hotsy. Used to have an older Hotsy, and was satisfied with it, but now I have a Karcher. And love it. It has some nice features that Hotsy doesn't offer, plus it's more efficient on fuel for the burner than a Hotsy. Do yourself a favor and use soft water with it. The difference is amazing.
Big John Thanks this. -
Same to you Big John. Have you been keeping busy? There's been a little grain moving but nothing exceptional.

Not to mention a big "THANK YOU" to any truckers who won't make it home for Thanksgiving. Without the truckers, we'd all be looking at empty tables today.dairyman, BigBadBill, Big John and 3 others Thank this.
