Could have been, if you saw a gray Pete 386 pulling the trailer with a blue and red stripe. I was running Plevna on Monday & Tuesday, then went to KC (River Rail), Chanute to Amarillo, Corn, OK to Port-33, and finally back home. There's a black KW T800 that has Arrow Trucking on the doors, that's leased to us (Knight Trucking), he pulls an identical trailer.

I'm not sure my CB gets out that far. Even with a RFX-75.

Good luck. Tire prices have really gone crazy.
I'll give you a holler next time... They have been keeping you busy.

I have been lurking around as I was considering leasing onto a company with a hopper. However, You all paint a pretty bleak picture for the hoppers. What is a good average price you all use when you decide to take a load or not? I was looking at going with a broker? however, that seems to be a bleak picture as well. Are there any good brokers left out there?

    Thanks!

It's not bad all the time.We just had two subpar harvests around here which means too many trucks and low rates. Shoot for the $2.00 loaded mile figure. There are some good brokers you just have to haul for them awhile to gain their trust.

Welcome to the hopper/dump thread,COhauler. You can just send your ''contributions'' to wheathauler,i think he still takes personal checks, but prefers cash:biggrin_255::biggrin_2559:. Glad to have you. Like Wheathauler has already said,it's not always bad, just been a tad rough the last couple of harvests, but i still enjoy pulling a hopper, you just have to be more ''selective'' of where you run nowadays.

CoHauler, good bunch in here. They will shoot you straight. No question. Hubby's no longer hauling hopper, but I still stop in here and check on the gang, from time to time. Welcome aboard!
