$3.79 I think. It went way up, dropped about 8 cents, and now it's holding like they're waiting for something to happen. None of this is based on supply or demand, it's all rumors and day traders dumping cash on the market. Annoying.

I've been sitting all week, so not out and about to scan different locations, but I think around here $3.99 is common. Such joy !, don't know how much more of this we can take.

Considering parking my hopper and pulling something else. Any thoughts ?

A few of us run end dumps but that's on and off work. I'm running for a guy that does both and we do ok. Some weeks we run 10 hours a day and others we get 2.5 days and all the work is done for the week. Also have to have the truck set up for it.
You could pull flatbed with little modification, some of the other guys do that. Depends on what you want to do and how much you can afford to sink into equipment to do it. -
Thanks kajidono; but no flatbedding for me, cause the tarps weigh as much as me I think. I can see me getting blown off of the top of my load. My head is already cracked !!!!

Hauling beans next week to soybean mill. They have been cutting dryland corn but it isn't doing good. Probably al least couple weeks away from irrigated corn depending on weather. Last couple of weeks has been cooler. Highs in 80's and 90's.

Sounds like everyone else is in the same boat I am in. Fall harvest is in the toliet, no rain and nothing to haul. All the oilfield rock hauling has moved to Kansas and I don't even care to get back in that mess. So I am looking at parking my hopper and getting back on the road with a step deck maybe. I have been told by a few grain merchandisers that they are getting swamped with phone calls from out of work grain haulers. Let the bottom feeding begin, I won't sit around and watch them.

I actually have been just the opposite, just went thru 23 new emails and 17 were looking for a hopper, but i'm having to spend 2 nights/week in a motel instead of getting back home every night, but with fuel like it is,there's not much choice. I have GOT to get me a small bunk even though it's gona mess my steer weights up,may be in the market for a longer trailer since i'm at 51.9 on the bridge now
I drop in to look at all your pics of trucks/hoppers on your facebook site,ALWAYS enjoy 'em too.Big John Thanks this.
