    yeah that's the thing, they're all pretty good. But I didn't mention I was in Fayetteville, NC when assigned the load... 390 miles away lol.

    dropped off in Portsmouth, Va this afternoon.

    Next load was/is Winston-Salem, NC to Dublin, GA. $28 a ton, and one of my favorite loads. But normally I'm only 85 miles from there when leaving from home, this time I was 270 away.

    Even more ironic, in Portsmouth I was only 70 miles from Hopewell VA where I pull out of all the time and usually have to go 300 miles to get there. Today nothing available from there. Just frustrating stuff like that.

    Pharm,

    I'm convinced that you are running for the most unorganized broker out there. Gawd, they are down right maddening. :biggrin_25510:

    Hubby did a Newport AR Mon, then loaded not 30 miles away that brought him right back home, to unload this morning. Then 40 miles to load and run this afternoon, and after that, he will go 30 miles to get a load coming right back here again and done for the week.

    I know they can do better for you.

    PharmPhail Thanks this.

    Actually they would, if you pointed them out and down to the sides.

    Some of these places that hubby and Pharm load at are nothing more than a dark hole with two inches on each side. And lets not forget that you have to jack knife it in, because theres always something out front that blocks you from backing straight up.

    We've unloaded at 1am before, and everything is pitch black. So any light that you can reflect around you to gauge distance, would be helpful. :yes2557:

    Maybe I should make bumper stickers for the hopper drivers;

    Pitch black and backing into a black hole. :biggrin_25525:

    Pitch black in the pitch black backing into a black hole. :biggrin_25525:

    So are you saying the sliding 5th wheel assembly has some holes that don't have bolts in it? If that's what you mean, if it were me, I'd get a drill, some good bits, some WD-40, and some good bolts and put them in.
