PharmPhail Thanks this. -
brake parts cleaner will take the glue off.. spray it on your cloth, not on the truck ... this will keep it from running and causing streaks if you don't wipe it up.

wheathauler..fuel was $2.59 in our area of SC Kansas last week. My son hasn't hauled any grain for a couple of weeks, as movement was slow, plus we were putting new tires on front of truck, new shocks, and had an alignment. Drives pretty nice now!
I should be picking corn on my farm within the next 7-10 days, so I will keep my son busy hauling my own grain for a couple of weeks. Is Corn harvest getting close in the Hutchison area?

The dryland corn is turning brown. Irrigated corn is a ways off yet. Some milo I've seen hasn't even headed out yet. A three axle alignment really helps along with the other things you did.
Let us know how your harvest went. I'm curious what the corn is going to yield.Last edited: Aug 16, 2009

You always have interesting answers to questions. Can't get my KW hood to open easily, tried greasing the stops on the fenders, keep zerks greased...still harder than h to open at times. Really bad since had hood taken off for repairs.
Actually anyone can throw in their advice. Short of taking it to KW for alignment not sure what to do. -
hey wheat ,mines stiff to but opens ok but it was lack of grease, actuly it tokk several greaseings to get it to work right, opening and closeing repeatedly
wheathauler Thanks this. -
Mine will only open if you pull up from the passenger side rear fender. It's actually easier that way so I don't mind. Funny to watch the mechanics struggle with it though.

Let's see 3 decent running KW's and the hoods are hard to open? ? ? mine? A kid could open, it's the easiest big truck hood I've had to open or close. Hope it's not an omen.
