Hopefully the last owner of your truck was picky about checking things out under the hood. That is why it opens easy. THINK POSITIVE.
I have to pull up the drivers side fender. Hopefully not. You're probably just lucky. I had a freightliner before that was very easy to open.
I was just joking around. Who ever ran it did take care of it. they had a dog and it isn't horribly mucked up. Carpet still smells doggy and smokey, had to toss the upper mattress that seemed never used. Just had soaked up 5 years of smoking in bed. I've run it around some, idled quite a while checking for leaks and such. So far only electronics that will need attention. Would have tossed most of these even if they were working right. But bobtailing isn't dragging a big load, still am confident it will be good.
Guess do projects around the house today or maybe all week. The way the rates are, blow out a tire and there goes your profit for the week. Maybe not that bad but not able to add to the repair fund. After putting used engine in truck couple of months ago... I know the value of having a repair fund.
THE UPDATE! well i was ready at 7am to get my trailer, but it seemed the the 1 hour time differecne from florida to alabama got in the way lol,and the peole i needed to see in the office made it in buy 8am their time lol, picked up the rest of my rigging ,go check out my trailer it was in the yard but it seemed it had some issuses,r/rear turm signal and brake light didnt work and r/rear axel needed a seal, dog box on the side ready to fall off,so now heaar it is 12,45 and im at utility trailer and there working on repairs and ,then off to tci tire to replace the right front, tire on the trailer, then hopefully to us steel and off to jackson miss short run but gots to get started lol
The old Hurry up and Wait scene. Seems like the trailers would be DOT ready but evidently not. Hopefully you get going today.
Don't blame you long explanation. Although this is just first rejection must admit it is a strange one.
Our T-8 used to not close all the way once in a while, the hood would hit the rubber "tit" on the firewall and you had to wiggle it around to get it to shut all the way. I finally loosened up the bolt that holds the tit to the aluminum plate, its got some slots for adjustablity, and then shut the hood and crawled underneath and tightened them back up with the hood closed. Reaching those bolts from underneath with the hood closed isn't any picnic, but it can be done. If I was betting, I would bet that your problem is something to do with those hood supports making it bind up. There's some up and down adjustment with them too. If you do decide to move them, might be a good idea to take a paint marker and trace around where they are before you start, so you can always go back to where they started if what you try doesn't work.
