I'm in that group. I can't speak for his skills or knowledge since I don't own anything he's worked on or built. But from looking at his pictures and video's it looks like he does a decent job building cookie cutter Class C amps and power supplies.

Nate Jones is a good guy and a great tech.. I have bought radios from him and he has also repaired and peaked and tune a few for me. I collect Uniden Grant XL's and I like them with all limiters intact and without extra channels. Nate has reconnected a few that were cut when I bought them. He also repaired a 1x4 TINMAN amp I purchased new and it didn't work from day one. But, Nate made it work perfect. I have no problems with him doing a basic peak and tune on any of my radios. It's all done by the book.

Rabbiporkchop, I own a FINE TUNED RCI 2970N4 that Mark actually did one of his videos on and I personally do NOT have a video gate on that. Why the hell would I care to do a video gate on a Uniden Grant XL ? I admire your dedication to Mark and his work. But, Mark doesn't do non imports and he certainly won't unhack one of my radios i picked up in my travels. So, I send them to people like DTB (who I have bought a few radios from over the years) and Nate Jones. They treat me fair and do what I ask. I personally respect Mark Sherman and I enjoy the many conversations we have had on the phone over the last 6 or 7 months. But, there are other people who can fix radios out there that may not match up to Mark. But, they still do a good job at what they do. Bottom line is that I like Mark Sherman's work. I like DTB's work and I like Nate Jone's work. You don't like their work? Don't sent your radios there. Not all techs are super techs!!!!!!!!! But, most techs serve a purpose. You need to stop bashing all techs because their name is not Mark Sherman. Funny thing is I bought a radio from RADIOACTIVE and it was one of the worst sounding radios I have ever owned. I read where you stood up for RADIOACTIVE just like I have heard Mark stand up for him. I am sure that neither Nate or DTB have screw nowhere near as many people as RADIOACTIVE. But you two will give him a pass. That confuses the hell out of me. By The Way DTB fix that $400 General Lee with the super wackpack for $60 . Lesson learned

I wasn't bashing nate jones. I just wanted to hear what it sounds like. I heard one of David Bupps radios the other day and it sounded great by the way.
