I don't think a new Volvo is really that much cheaper than a new pete and don't think parts are much cheaper either, just depends what you're looking for.

My theory is that the engine does less work. It does not have to "Wind out" anywhere near as much. Same with the emissions BS. Especially if Emissions require temperatures hotter than Mr Pyro.

About the same, decked out w9 $165k$170k...plain Jane Volvo $155k and decked out one in the $160k $165k ish... I like my Volvo but I’m not spending same money on it as a w9... somebody done lost their mind -
They all cost about the same for the same class truck no matter the model, whether you're talking pete 389 to Volvo whatever, freightshakers might be cheaper though.sangtito Thanks this.

Great, now I can focus on 389 and learn everything else by being co driver -
International (lt) and freightliner(crapcadia) are still reasonable for a throw away truck, only freightliner I would spend my money on is a glider... atleast they are smart enough to know they aren’t building w9 and 389s.. lol the Volvo was reasonable until the redesign this year... they are super proud of that redesign lol..CorsairFanboy and Brettj3876 Thank this.

Instead of spending a fortune for a decked out newer hood i would get a used glider with a 12.7 60 series. Wheather it be a Columbia or a hood
-
Like buy an old one and put glide on it?
-
As stupid as I sound, what is decked out? And ppl also say hood, what does that mean?

Thing about horsepower is its addictive. It's hard to miss something you never had till you get exposed to it
shogun Thanks this.
