I wouldn't worry about it too much. But you need to try harder to stay legal, especially with elogs. I'm curious as to how some of them weren't your fault. I would tall with your dispatcher or whomever handles safety at your terminal. It may be costing you money in the ways of your safety bonuses if you have them. And it also looks good if your preemptively trying to address these issues before you made too
After 7 months you don't know what a "coop" is..... It is a slang term for a truck weigh station. Which is the place where you normally get inspected.
Don't LOL it. Going over your clocks will usually be your fault due to lack of planning. You know the times you have to work with. Do it too often and you will get dinged for it. But if you have to drive over your time you should make a note in the log that you were getting to a safe haven. Do it while still on the drive line when you stop, but before you change status.
Depends on the company. I was put on a safety hold a few weeks back for repeated and willfully flagrant violations of HOS as they called it. They did a manual audit and every time I fueled, loaded or unloaded, didn't log my post trip, or do a DVIR was addressed for a period a month. So every day. Every scale, etc. hell they even noted that I unplugged my Qualcomm when it was broken and drove from Denver to Dallas, Delivered a load and then bobtailed to Lancaster, dropped my trailer and then drove home. Then I didn't send in a paper log either. My 3500 mile weeks are now down to 2800. I'm making about 66% of what I was a few weeks ago. But I'm still employed. I do have to take a log class though Anyway, odds are it will never be an issue for you. Just log it as you do it and have a good excuse if you violate. They will say plan better, you will try and sometimes still fail. #### happens. Personally, I don't consider scrolling Facebook waiting for a trailer to be loaded as work. So now I introduce myself and ask the person what their name is, then log sleeper and say such and such said it's cool if I sleep until I'm loaded. Problem solved. I know when I'm tired.
That 11 drive time ain't nothing but a suggestion. Get you some chicken feed and hammer down. Don't listen to me.
Tell us how were those violations not your fault and what kind of violations? You didn't receive a ticket so you won't get fined but that doesn't stop your company from putting you on probation and attending a logging class. So be prepared in case safety puts a hold on you for hos violations. You won't lose your job but from this day moving forward you need to follow the HOS and check your hours every day and often so you don't go over your hours.
And take it from the guy who broke a window and got fired. Start being accountable for YOUR actions. HOS is pretty much always your fault unless a cop tells you to move even then it's still your fault for being there.
