so now drivers are rushing so they can fit in a 34, or taking a 34 then rushing to del, kinda defeats the whole purpose of safety i would say, sure its a way to use the rules to our advantage but that doesnt make it make any sense when it comes to drivers driving tired, now they are just rushing all over to beat the clock and fit in a 34, but we wouldnt want any relaxed drivers out here who might wanna stop an see family or take a break when they are actually tired or drive when they are awake, that would make too much sense lol what do i believe is the solution? like a dwi, you punish someone who drives drunk and kills someone, you dont punish everyone assuming they will fall asleep and kill someone, you dont raise someones insurance assuming they will have an accident, when it happens you act accordingly, if i fall asleep an end up in the ditch then sure give me elogs, but dont punish me just because other drivers are idiots, and who else should have elogs, any idiot who thinks they need to be told when they are tired and when they are awake, and thats not me, i can think for myself.

If the miles don't change, nor the pickup or delivery times, and I am able to fit a 34 in it still the same number of hours driving and the same number of hours off on that trip it's just a matter of where I choose to take them. I usually choose to do it to benefit myself, which usually means I'm available to run more miles.

and please people dont come on here and defend elogs or any logbook regulation unless you like being told when to go to bed by your mommy. if you have to use them fine, but please dont say prefer them, you sound like an idiot.

It should be further noted in the example I gave, That even on those days where I drove 650 miles, I still had 12 and a half to 13 hours off each day. If that is not enough rest per day, this may be the wrong profession

I'm just happy he backed down.

I'm not sure if it's good or bad yet but whatever. At least I'll be able to face whatever may come with a fresh brain that isn't fried

its not about whether its enough rest, its about my time and what i choose to do with it, i was told long ago by someone i was in the wrong profession, i was just at the wrong company. like ive said, we have to do what we have to do, but for anyone who would rather be told when theyr tired and when they are awake, i say maybe they are in the wrong profession, i can think for myself.
