We talked about them, too...
In the thread about physical addresses. Apparently, you do have to have a physical address so that the cops know what door to break down at midnight, after you leave a trail of dead "Hos" across the 48 states. We're all serial killers. Dateline says so...
(I laughed until I cried...

Good for you, I wish others would stand firm and decide to rest.Boattlebot Thanks this.
-
For a lot of drivers, giving in is more restful than standing firm. It's unfortunate that dispatchers feel the need to rob drivers of their rest, whether or not we get the time, but there it is... :-/Boattlebot Thanks this.

If you want a full 70 then 34 is required. If you want to run on recap then get after it. You can do either or.Bean Jr. Thanks this.

Update. My travel agent got yelled at for trying to force me to run and then they bought me lunch
Ooops Thanks this. -
All's well that ends well.

You are waiting for a computer to tell you when you can take a reset? Seriously?
"I'm fighting for a 34 [...]"
Unless you are part of some kind of draconian company, you should be able to take a 34 hour reset whenever you please. The HOS doesn't demand you to take one only when you run out of hours.
I do my 36-hour reset every Saturday/Sunday. -
Now, we all know that you can't just do this whenever you please. The freight moves according to a schedule, and if you can't or won't meet that schedule, you won't be hauling that freight for too terribly long.
But yes, there does come a point where it is not ridiculous to ask for a break, and if they keep putting loads on you, after you have crossed that line and asked for that break, then they're what autocorrect wants me to call "ducks", and once you drop the magic word "fatigue", they're also violating the FMCSR.
They were right to yell at the travel agent, although I'd be more impressed about lunch if they went to it with you. The real test is frankly whether they will continue to back you, because now that your travel agent has gotten yelled at for the way he handled you, he's liable to hold a grudge, which will likely be looking for a chance to come back to haunt you. This is not a person that you want to continue to work with; least of all, rely upon.
All's well that ends well, but it isn't necessarily over when you say so... :-/Zeviander, Redtwin, Boattlebot and 1 other person Thank this. -
I'm gunna just see how my travel agent behaves for awhile. Seems ok. First moment I get the feeling that it's not I'm making a stink to switch to someone else's board
