I am clear with the 14 hrs On Duty and 11 hours Driving. What happens if I had say 10 hours driving left and opted to drive on the 9th day. Technically don't I have hours left?

It's not 10 hours of driving, it's 10 hours of work ... you can use for driving or any other work.

You do not need to take a reset so long as you do not log over 70 on duty and driving hours in 8 days. I stay out 18 days without a reset. If you properly use the chart inside your log books front page you can work out how many hours you have used in the 8 day period.

That is what I understood myself but a lot of persons put out false info. I will be driving tanker and using manual logs, so I want to get it correct.

This may sound stupid, but Im confused as to how any of the hourly restrictions and timing works... whether its manual logs or elogs. Can someone, with experience beind te wheel and familiar with both sytems, give me the complete ''logs for dummies'' breakdown?
