I disagree! I run 100% legal 100% of the time.
I log it as I do it!
In my opinion there is no other way to do it anymore. I used to run amok in the old days and break or at least bend every rule there was but these days it's just not a good way to do business.
Besides I like to relax at the end of the day...Ya can't do that if you're working 18 hours a day!

A few "tweaks" here and there are almost a necessity, if you know how and can get it past the safety guy. To run rampant and show a fuel stop as a "flag"every time and average 74mph across N.M. on I-40, and 15 minutes to chain and tarp a flatbed will eventually get you written up. At least make it look "real".

$7500 for US xpress ? That's like fining you/me .50 cents for something. Can you say 'Joke'?
RickG Thanks this. -
Drivers keep in mind I heard today that states like Maryland are now asking you: Where did you last fule at and calling the company with the information to confirm the receipt. Remember large fleet companies WILL NOT PUT THEIR NECK OUT ON THE LINE FOR YOU. I agree with the majorty of the post STAY LEGAL.

And bottom feeder New Rising Fenix, Mt Vernon, MO got slapped about a year ago for over $50,000 and he only had a 40 truck fleet!
Where is the justice?
He mandated RUN legal but I think from another post he folded first of the month! -

Does every1 show the In Trip Inspection at 30 minutes in....& then(depending on weather & state), show your next ITI in 2 to 3 hours?....& do you actully do it?

Pretrip and the post should only take about 15 min each.....If you know your rig....
I show "check and secure load" if I fuel or when mother nature calls..... -
The EOBR will not know how long it took to load or tarp. The driver will still have the ability to "control" this.
