Yes you can get fined. But you have to be walking all over HOS. Guys have done it. They have fined them.

In over 9 years I have had my logs checked maybe 4 times. So what are the chances of being checked during those odd times when you may go over?

Here's another 'broo ha ha' about it...much of it is company dependent, it seems.
I'm thinking based on research this isn't legal -
Just had my logs checked a few days ago on a random. No issues. Ran out of time while random was being performed. Even told the state Trooper that I was going to PC to the next rest area. FM CSA has some good info on their website on personal conveyance use.
