I have 2 HOS violations in the last 2 years. Is it possible to still get hired by a good company?

Wow. That is worse then failing a drug test or a 20 over speeding ticket. Maybe worse than a rear ender.
    Did you notice the sarcasm?

So what were the 2 HOS violations?

Like @Moosetek13 said, it depends on what the actual violation is. What is listed on your PSP?

It also depends on how you define "good company".

The company I applied for didn’t go forward after the background check. Due to two violations of exceeding 14 hour clock and failing to provide shipping numbers on E-log

Form and function violations should not be in the BASIC of HOS.

Any company can have as high a standard for hiring a driver as they want. For example a company COULD decide they are not hiring drivers who have ever been late for work at any job since time was created. It may mean, practically speaking, they can't find any driver to move their freight.

The point I am making is that ONE company or multiple companies may decide to not hire you but that doesn't mean all companies will also not hire you. The companies don't join online registries where they declare the details of who they will and will not hire. Keep applying to other trucking companies. Understand that the freight volume is still low, so the need for more drivers is not like it was 2-5 years ago. If I was in your shoes, I would focus on the employers of drivers you already know in real life. Apply at their employers. Apply at companies you see in the area where you already are/were working. Apply at companies you may know SOMETHING about already, if you would like to work there. Companies are not required to give a reason why they don't hire. ANYTHING on a PSP report hurts you to some degree from getting hired. You can get a copy of your PSP report immediately for $10 at the FMCSA link I'll put in this reply. There may be a way to get a free copy of that same report, but I don't know. Don't give up, and don't get any more violations they hurt you more than anyone else.

Yes it is. I worked for a cheap, somewhat outlaw owner years ago. Got pinged for inspections left and right. My CSA score got kind of high. Magnum turned me down because of it. Climate Express didn't care about the CSA score and took me. Both companies have pretty good reputations. It all depends on a company's requirements, or whatever their insurance carrier requires of that company. Post your location, perhaps you can get some good leads.

Yes. I bet that most of us have had more than 2 HOS violations in the last two years.
