Hot Shot Brokers

I have recently been hired as the sales manager for a hot shot company in the Dallas Fort Worth area and I am trying to come up with ways to increase our business. We have reliable drivers that pull 40' goose necks that we are at risk of losing because we are not finding enough work for them. For example, we will have a job going to Houston but we will not have anything coming back this way so he will have to dead head back. I had the idea of partnering up with one or some the freight/hot shot brokers in the Houston area (or anywhere in Texas) and having them put us on their list instead of independent drivers. That way if they have a load, they could send it to us and we could use our drivers. I have not been in this industry long so I am still finding out how everyone operates. Do you all think that this is something that any hot shot broker would go for or do you think that they would not want to deal with competitors in that regard? Also, does anyone know of any hot shot brokers around Texas that I could reach out to?
