    You can always remind them that replacing batteries is a lot more expensive than a little extra idle time to run the microwave. Honestly, have you mentioned this to the company? They might actually have a reasonable response.

    I tried using the HotHands warmers on the temp sensor of my Cascadia when my APU went out. My company only allows idle above 90 deg on trucks that have an APU. It did work for 2-3 hours, but then it lost too much heat to keep it running. So, for short periods of time it works, but it's not a full overnight solution.
