Hey guys, I just had a couple questions. Im thinking about starting to hotshot. Im 21 years old and have a class A CDL, (had to get one for a previous job.) I recently just lost my job in the oilfield and now i have a friend thats going to let me use there 7.3 f-550 with a flat bed to hotshot as well as a trailer. They are also giving me the number to a gentleman that is in need of hotshot drivers. My question is since ill be working for someone is it worth it? Or is the best way to go to start my own hotshotting company? I will tell you this i have virtually no money so my options are pretty limited.

Yes, look at the dedicated hotshot forum here. But I strongly recommend you try and lease on somewhere and learn the ropes and make some connections rathe than trying to be a 100% independent in this business right out of the gate.
DumpDriver15 Thanks this. -

Good Luck ! -
I'm looking to get into this business as well. Is there any place to look to hire a new hotshot driver so I can learn?
