Hours of Service - Need Clarification

    since everybodys confused now might as well throw in that you can work 16 hours if you are a local driver and start and finish at your home terminal everyday after your restart and before your 16...still can only drive 11 of the 16...also you can stay on duty over your 14 as long as your not driving...

    We are bound by the 11/14/70

    HOS can be divided in to two segments but the total on duty and total driving must comply to the 11/14. When the 2 hour break has ended you will not start with a fresh 11/14. This is where a lot of drivers get confused using H.O.S.

    Regardless of the 8/2 split the 70 hour rule must comply.

    Like I wrote before, Its a lot easier to log ten off duty...:biggrin_25514:

    I agree with packersfan11. Do the 10 hour break all at once. That way there isn't any problems.
