But then on Wednesday (it is 8th day), I will add 7 more hours so I will have 72 hours so do I need to take 34 restart on Thursday?

You cannot drive after being on duty for 70 hours in a rolling 8 day period.

In your scenario where you started on Tuesday and had worked a total of 65 hours once you finished on the next Tuesday you would have worked 65 hours in 8 days. Yes, Tuesday to Tuesday is 8 days not 7. So come Wednesday you would be on day 9. Since it's a rolling 8 day period the first Tuesday no longer counts as part of the 8 days.

So with Wednesday being day 9 to know how many hours you have available that day you would need to add up the hours for the last seven days (Wednesday to Tuesday) to figure out how many were available for Wednesday.

Then on Thursday you would add up the hours from the previous seven days (which would now be Thursday to Wednesday) to figure out how many hours you have available Thursday.

And no, if you reach 70 hours you do not have to take a reset. Just make sure you don't drive after reaching 70 hours of work during any 8 day period.

There is no "best time" - it starts when you move to line 1 or 2, and don't need to be on duty for any particular reason. However, since there must be two periods between 0100 and 0500 included, it would be best to start it before 0100 in the time zone that your home terminal is located in.

One would.think not however eobr's it does matter.. the final day .. one cannot start before 05:00
The time of day one begins means the difference on the wait. I've had the joys of discoveries

No one explains how it works one must explore.. trial and error

That's because you must have the entire 0100 - 0500 period as part of the restart.

Ok so let's say I finished my duty on Monday (7th day) with 65 hours. I'd like to start my next duty on Tuesday (8th day). I will drive 7 hours on Tuesday so on 8th day, I have 72 hours. When do I need to take 34 rest break?
Can I take reset break on Monday (7th day) with 65 hours? so on Tuesday I will start wit the new hours?
