Cant go wrong with land. Certain places you obviously can do better then others but the main rule is they aren’t making anymore of it. That’s the big advantage.

My Grandpa used to tell me, I don’t want to own all the land, just what butts up against mine. LOL Took me a while to get it.

Another gem he used to say... If I liked to drink as much as I like to buy land, I’d be drunk all the time! Haha

Keep in mind my Grandma and Grandpa came through the depression with absolutely nothing and died self made. We have to learn from these greats (IMO I’m biased) of the past.

@ Buddy I’m just expanding on your thought... totally agree.

that's the way i have felt for years, and years. i always wanted to buy the houses next to mine and tear them down, cuz i could NOT STAND my neighbors.

but the prices were outrageous at the time, and frankly, they ain't no better now.

maybe someday, when i hit the Lott-ree......i'll buy out the entire city block, and put the house demolition crews to work....lol

House but i would consider moving out of CA, earthquakes, restrictive trucking regulation for trucking business , high properties prices and taxes; for good reason CA is experiencing an exodus of population over past years.
