My next load is in Houston and have been routed to take I-10 to the beltway which is a toll road will my pre pass / ez pass be accepted or should I bring cash for the tolls. If I bring cash do u think 40 bucks will enough ill be on it for 26 miles and I'm not sure how many booths ill go through. I know it sounds like a silly question but want to stay out of trouble.

It's $6 per booth and i'm pretty sure you will go through 4 booths. Not sure about ez pass i always pay cash. They do have something, just not sure if it's ez pass. Try the internet they surely have aweb site

No.
Your Ipass, EZPass will not work there. -
That's what I thought got to take cash with me I get reimbursed but I won't get pre pass tags for individual states until I run those states more often I personally think if ur trucks run all 48 then they should have pre pass tags for all states not just new York area

Your ezpass will work in all of the northeast, IL, IN, OH, Maryland, NJ, DE, WV. Not sure about the VA tolls or the Chesapeak tunnel.
Does not work in OK, KS, FL, TXAZS Thanks this. -
It works in west virginia and Virginia but I recently went through the chesapeake tunnel and didn't pay a toll at all

Can't you just avoid the beltway ? We have trucks around Houston all the time and we never use the beltway .
Can you calculate mileage avoiding the beltway and figure cost per mile to use the beltway and not use it ? -
I'm looking into that now

Where are going in Houston? No real reason to use 8--can get anywhere in houston metro w/out a toll--also on most of the north side there is a service road along side--we peddle Houston weekly--maybe can suggest a better way

Going to greens parkway coming in on I-10 out of Louisiana its on the northside by aldine I was thinking maybe run ten all the way to the 610 north over to 45 north get off on spears road not sure if that will work but it will keep me off the toll roads plus I will be there about 6 in the morning then need to find the nearest truck stop to do a ten since I will be out of hours by then
