    Hey Matt, I hope your OTR is working out for ya!! I did have a question for ya about the hiring process at lowes, if you're still on here, after all these years..lol.

    i inquired about a lowes delivery job here (midwest) requiring a class a cdl. i got as far as...starting pay $13.50/hr. that was all i needed to know.

    Update

    The OP has been living in a nursing home for the past 2 months. Her husband died back in 2013. Her kids never come visit and she is slow fading away. Lowe's is still going strong but you need to be multilingual to work there.

    The rules are different for an outift like Lowes that's actually transporting their own product. They actually do have to take it in the house.

    Of course, I'm sure their insurance also differs greatly from that of a freight line.

    That sucks. Sorry to hear that.

    I think I'd rather take a .45 cal Tylenol than have to go out that way.

    That's why I never would have even considered working for that type of store. Or a retail furniture outfit.
    Moving those king-size mattresses is a young man's job. Not to mention some of those high dollar appliances that weigh in around 1500 pounds.
    Particularly up and down stairs...
