Meh.. TMC Has gone above and beyond for my family on numerous occasions. They allowed me to quit for 2 months due to family issues, i turned my truck in per their request, for that two months they continued paying my bills, and after that 2 months gave me my job back without having to pay anything over again.
After spending 5 years in a factory being dicked around day after day, year after year i appreciate what TMC has done for me. Like Terry said, you won't find many first year drivers making 60k plus, and i've been doing it with them for over 2 years now.
I'm sorry that things diddn't work out for you, good luck Pat.
how about TMC

I know diddly about TMC or any other FLTBD outfit. I always scratch my head and think, why? when I see someone tarping a load in the rain or snow while I am at the dock sipping my hot cup of joe. But I guess someone has to do it. I did it for some time but I was local and did not have to do much tarping.
I was wondering if you choose to get paid percentage on your loads. How do you know what the payout was that your percentage is being calculated on? Does the company show the driver what the load paid the company? -
-
At TMC, you can choose from the time you get your own truck, but you can switch later. I think you can switch once per quarter or something like that, but you cannot switch in the middle of a month. -
I worked on percentage before as a 3rd party contractor and my business adviser found out that the company was doctoring the books to make it look like they made less on the del fees then they where actually receiving.
Say they made $75 for a del. They would show it as $50 and then pay me 73% of that, instead of the $75. They where threatened with legal action and we had to have a big powwow with a mediator and I ended up getting a settlement and leaving the account.
So I am wondering how the driver knows what the load pays that the percentage is based off of ? If that is what it is based off of. -
When I was with my trainer, the cost of the load was on the load screen on the Qualcomm, as well as on the Shipping papers. They didnt even attempt to hide the amount. -
It's not always there on the papers, but 9 times out of 10. Sometimes it's slightly more on the shippers papers because of the fuel surcharge.

And the winner is!?!?!?!? NOT PAT!
, sorry that your time with TMC was on the less then perfect time there, its a shame that you could hear SOO MANY GOOD THING about one company, and then you get someone like Pat that has to come in and try and run down a company just because his/her expirience was bad, or not what he/she expected. Pat you may have worked for many companies in the past years, you may have worked for some of the best, and or some of the worse, however, it sounds to me, and possiable to others that you just came across a company that didnt suite your needs, seriously, did you go there thinking it was going to be " the perfect company?? " i want to no were The Perfect company is.... cause i wouldnt be here typing and reading away on this site.... does anybody no where The Perfect company is?? sure would love to no... if you are to ask me, based just on what i have heard and read and seen, TMC is pretty close to being a decently perfect company. EVERY company in the world has its good and has its bad, there is no such thing as The Perfect company
Pat, im glad to hear your an O/O now, thats terrific in so many ways, you are now your own Perfect company, best of luck to you and the many years of sucsses you'll have. -
