The Query; When to drink alcoholic beverages.
When your work / business activities for the day have ended, it is not an unacceptable time for a quality beverage, should it contain alcoholic ingredients, thats fine. An Old Fashioned is a good choice. It is recommended that only one of these beverages be consumed prior to your evening meal. Of course that meal is perfectly fine accompanied by a wine that is most suited to the food prepared. After you evening meal something like a port, cognac or brandy can be enjoyable.

There is a lot of confusion surrounding the Martini. The beverage has been so misused. It really is not the beverage of choice for a luncheon or before the evening meal. It is an evening out beverage. One to be consumed while enjoying an evening at the club or casino.

@expressolane, I think you missed your calling. Shoulda been one of those wine guys, or some career along those lines. I believe it's called a sommelier.

I go through a wine phase on occasion and I actually did this in my truck for a time. Buy wine and pour it in to a grape juice bottle. Works great.

Ever read the blue flame, talks about drinking methanol, and side effects.

If you are found drunk inside your car, you will be charged with DUI. How come a drunk driver inside the truck gets away with it? o_O

Well, if that's the way you want to read it, good luck in jail.

Used to be a bar across from the Petro in Atlanta called the Blue Flame. I knew several guys that would walk over there every time they overnighted there. Myself not being brave and/or stupid enough to be one of them

If you are found drunk inside your car and the keys aren't in the ignition, they can't say DUI. Better though to not be behind the wheel, either way.
