Do you think the epa won’t be going after them?
the epa sees these ads and does their enforcement homework.
the sad part is we don’t need emissions on trucks, and the other sad part is the trucks can be siezed leaving the new owner out of a truck and money. -
I know of a guy that bought a ( deleted) 2018. . Peterbilt. 389.. off a face book add from a guy in ND has a used truck company .. he sells mostly Peterbilt hood trucks ..anyway .. he had the truck about 10 days and the EPA .. was knocking on his door .. he got fined and the truck impounded .. and the guy he bought it from is still in business selling trucks ..
This all happened about 5 or 6 months ago ..
I know he's gota a lawsuit .filed on the guy he bought the truck from .. & he is still trying to fight the EPA's charges.. but he doesn't have the truck
I've heard rumor that theres some Lending institutions .. that will not loan money on the purchause of a deleted truckLast edited by a moderator: Aug 17, 2023
Siinman, exhausted379, cke and 2 others Thank this. -
The worst part is these morons actually put it right in the ad, like it’s a good selling point or makes it worth more. Duh……
I hope People are starting to realize an unmolested well maintained truck is worth more. -

Have any of you ever heard of DOT randomly checking for deleted trucks ?
California is the only place I’ve heard of where they’ve really cracked down on operation of deletes trucks. -
The guy I know that bought that truck tried dropping a dime on the guy that sold him the truck .
The story I heard was the EPA told him your the 1 that owns it now its your problem today .. we don't care who sold it to you -
But take that truck to most shops now and try to get a repair done alot of shops don't want one on the property nowSiinman, Feedman, gentleroger and 3 others Thank this. -
Plenty of independent shops will still work on deleted trucks and some dealers too if the work doesent involve plugging into the ecm ..just let them know first.
Oem dealers won't take them on trade but there's still private party sales and the auctions....exportation to foreign countries like Mexico.
There's a market for them but ya sure as hell don't advertise it .RickAnniston, broke down plumber, Siinman and 7 others Thank this.
