How 'Bout Windy Hill?

    I went to work for Windy Hill As A Newbie; I had no GPS & got lost 5-6 times. they had me sign papers that I would pay $1.40 per off Route Miles!! at the time I Agreed to IT! BUT I was getting paid for 1 Week every 3-4 weeks Go Figure! they were makeing Money off of me. and also my trip PAKS were in order! I quit them just after 3 months:biggrin_25521:

    Guess you missed trip planning day in school! Well at least you lucked out at Windy Hill, you would have fired any where else!

    don't want to be a smart@$$ BUT wouldn't a road atlas and calling the shipper/receiver help out in those situations. At 1.40 per mile oor charge I would really make sure of my route. Hope you're having better luck now. Hang in there Bud.

    must be a pretty low bottom feeder outfit to charge 1.40 per out of route mile---thats probabely more than what they make most of the time

    when I drove for them the trucks were cut back to 65, mine would run 67 on the pedal and 65 on cruise

    Yes it is small - but the oldest truck on the fleet is a 2005 and there is only a few - they just bought 20 2011 Intenationals and 20 Freightliners - still here after 8 years now !!

    I have to go to bat for this company. If you like to work hard, drive your eyes off, see the south east of USA, this your company. Cook your books, or not. The runners make good miles. Good company, if you want to run. I'm a newbie and I work for Windy Hill. I got trained well, they treat me good. I'm based in Wisconsin, the freight runs good. When CSA catches up, meh, I'll have to run legit.

    anybody know anything about windy hill foilage i am looking to go there orientation on tuesday 1 friend said they are cool and 1 said not too bother i just graduated out of school looking too get my feet wet:biggrin_2553:
