I'm not driving for Walmart because I earn more than what they pay, while spending most every night at home in my own bed, and only working weekends when I want to.

Eh ask any major industrial gas company driver. Ie Praxair, Air Products, Air Liquide, Airgas, Linde. We all make about the same 80-100k, well the cryogenic tanker drivers, it various from yard to yard as we all have different union contracts. We are all home everyday with the exception of the Argon and Hydrogen teams.

I left Praxair to work for Walmart. Don't regret my decision one bit. Praxair was great, but Walmart works better for me.

Considering how much I *love* WalMart runs, I can only imagine working for them every day is more of the same. That's just too much paradise for me. I don't think I could handle it.

Private fleets are the big secret to big pay days for company drivers. WallyWorld, Ashley, Praxair, all of which have been mentioned and there's many more. Other than that, LTLs and a few tanker companies are about all that match up.
