I'd throw a wrap on the top bundle over the gap on the bottom bundles. I don't like metal bundles on top without a wrap. And yeah, straps go as near the dunnage as possible. Have to maximize static friction.stwik, spyder7723, Broke Down 69 and 1 other person Thank this.

No it doesn't.

Those beams coming off the truck wouldn’t have done that kind of damage. What the heck did he hit?cke, spyder7723, Zeviander and 1 other person Thank this.
-
He didn't hit anything. Passed me like I was going backwards and took a corner way to fast. That load didn't have a single tight chain or strap on it, everything was wiggling around.

Was this close to going over the Jersey barrier into oncoming traffic.
Guy got really lucky.Lepton1, Oxbow, cke and 1 other person Thank this. -
And this is why there are so many threads on structural steel. You have to have vertical blocking between them to keep them from vibrating sideways. Yet so many guys will haul it with none. Then i get to the mill and have to make them remove it from my trailer And fibs another load because i refuse to haul it the way they say everyone else does.Oxbow, Tb0n3, Highway Sailor and 2 others Thank this.

Could have used some blocking for sure. Also need a driver to drive the load. Not play go carts with his buddy
BigBob410, Oxbow, Highway Sailor and 5 others Thank this. -
