The only difference I seen was the first service center on I77 in WV going north had the inspection lot open. Nice long parade..lol....most of the activity that was going on was the DOT officer that was giving the tv interview for the news station..lol

I was home the whole time (and still am). Drove by the Monument scale on Thursday (in a four wheeler) on my way to Denver... didn't look like anything particularly interesting was going on there. Trucks rolling across, and a couple pulled to the side.. didn't see Motor Carrier crawling around them, so they probably just had the drivers show their permits, license, and medical cards.

Didn't get pulled in once. :biggrin_25525: That's 5 years running now with no pull-ins during the 'blitz'. Hmmmmm, wonder if my luck will run out next year.

Got my sticker at Moorehead scale in KY (I-64) promptly removed the gaudy piece of crap at the next rest area.

Got re-inspected down on I-75 and the next day and got yelled at because apparently they keep track of who they issue the stickers too:biggrin_25524:

Officer did point out to me that all I accomplished by removing it was to let a non inspected truck get by. Guess I'll leave the new one on for now.

72 hour deal? What other industry could make a huge deal out of LEO's actually doing their #### job for three whole days( they did not but talked a big game) and not get asked WTF they are doing the other 362:biggrin_25510:

There was a Blitz this year? Really? Never seen the PA scales so dead. Even Breezewood toll plaza was a ghost town on the first day. Now watch, this week every scale in the state will be open and packed with DOT.

That wouldn't be a surprise. It's known that some states like to extend their "blitz" about a day or two past the normal 3 days, just to catch you slippin'.

Fortunately, I haven't been touched during the blitz. But, then again, I like to keep the truck clean, nothing on the dash, rims shined, and all the lights working. I don't want to attract any unnecessary DOT attention if I can help it.

All my trucks were inspected , all passed no problems.

I was weighed 4 times , had a Doctors appointment on Friday , first thing he said was " GOTTA WEIGH YOU " , I replied been weighed 4 times this week , always legal.

Actually picked up a new customer for a few loads a week , seems he could not understand why the guy hauling his freight needed to park his trucks for 3 days.
