That is a good start, for me I drive locally now, so the known issues don't affect me. I just hope others out there who are haveing the same issue will be in touch with you. Let me know how things go...![]()

I work for a small Company that only has 10 trucks, I feel like a O/O with the freedom that I have, Only without the expense. We keep our Idle time down by staying on the road. No waiting for loads hardly at all. I would quit if I had to work for a company that baby sit me like these big ones to.

Please send me all the issues you want posted to the news other than just the idleing,i am going to work on a letter to send to the news tommorow, once i am completed with it..i will post it here to be reviewed by all the drivers...
i am one driver standing up alone, who wishes to stand with me? -
At least we can fall together aye?
MCR6468 Thanks this. -
Yes, at least there should be glory in a good fight, there is no glory in hiding. And the time for that has now come and gone, let us raise the flag and give out our loudest battle cry, and see if the tyrants buckle and flee!
andrew5184 and rocknroll nik Thank this. -
Thank you MCR6468, sorry but a newbie here so my fault my man. Not what me and "Martin Luther" got in mind here. Bud, did not know that so had to ask. Afraid that would NOT work for me. Suggest that will not work for majority of working folks out here.
Thank you for letting the rest of the working world know this. Hope some others will speak up that have also had this experiance.MCR6468 Thanks this. -
Get a pet. The companies don't want PITA and ASPCA to start breathing down their necks. In fact, in several New England states, if you have a pet in the truck, you are permitted to idle all night.
rocknroll nik and MCR6468 Thank this. -
we do have a dog, and we were told by covenant that we still couldn't idle, and now i hear that they upped the pet fee possibly to make it harder
to want one on the truck. -
I had my truck break down a little less than halfway on a 700 mile run . I couldn't make a Friday delivery and would have to wait until Monday . The company made motel arrangements for Thursday night then Friday told me to bring the truck home - 350 miles and leave Sunday . Why ? Driving 700 miles would burn less fuel and cause less engine wear than idling over 48 hours in sub zero weather . If I waited on the road they'd owe me 3 nights layover pay which would be more than the $.40 a mile they are going to pay me to bring the truck home then backtrack . No , it's not union . No , they're not hiring . Maybe if somebody dies someday but nobody is dumb enough to quit .

Is that why they are called Lot Lizards? and do they make good pets. LOL
