How difficult is it to get a Hazmat Endorsement? How expensive?

I think by the time ya get fingerprinted, test out your looking around $150. And I think the closest place to get fingerprinted is Seymour. Check with bmv

 

If you are talking about the card I posted , that is required in addition to the hazmat endorsement on the CDL and you must be recertified every 3 years . O.K. , just found this

So the CDL endorsement may in fact suffice . The problem is I have been asked for the certification card several times . This may be another case where LEO's misintepret regulations and aren't satisfied with the CDL endorsement .
With some carriers products hauled may require the additional training but how would that be determined during roadside inspection ?

 

Thats a good question as they should be satisfied with only hazmat end during inspection and the certification/training needs to be on record for audit. I have found that myself and my carrier are more knowledgeable about hazmat and whats needed as we do it all the time. I have a stepdeck and carry bulk hazmat items in which 1 time at POE in wyoming I was asked why my trl wasnt placarded (the bulk load was placarded and individually labelled on all 4 sides) and I said :no need as they are on the load. They tried arguing and pulling out the book on me only to say :we think it should be on both but you need to call your company and ask" LOLOLOLOL Already did dumbarses.
