Here's the deal, and I just got mine in the mail today. Got fingerprinted and pics done on July 26th, so it was quite quick in my opinion.
Here is the link you need...

Fill out the online app and schedule an appointment...you will have options of locations and dates/times for appointment. For me it was very painless and had taken about 15 minutes to complete ( the appointment ) They were also ready for me at my appointment time so get there on time.
Lastly, you have an option to have it mailed to your house or pick it up in person.
Final cost for me was $128.xx

One other thing for those who ask is it wort it to get it...It's a good credential to have especially when looking for a job. Better to have it and not need it, than needing it and not having it..

Just passed my Hazmat and tanker tests yesterday and then had to go to a different DMV here to get fingerprints done. I was given a new CDL with my N endorsement today but will be mailed another new one once the Feds approve my Hazmat application. Get going on it because it'll take a few weeks I'd imagine..

The only thing I really didn't understand was about getting Hazmat combined with tanker...which I did.

I should have done the double / triple test yesterday as I found out the tests are free if you pass. My thinking was to wait until after I get my CDL-A ( I have a B now )

I am on my second Twic card now. I did not use the first one for almost 3 years so it was a waste of time and money for that time period. Then I started using it once a week. It pays for itself after 3 uses. I was really under impressed at the security at ports. Of course, guarding bananas isn't really a high priority.

My company had to pay $100 bucks for an escort once. He took me to the shipping office which is his main job. He then told me where to go to load on the other side of the port and I never saw him again.

Go to DMV claim that your radical Islam they hand it to you under the counter. Easy as that
