IMO, your job as a broker is to represent the shipper to the carrier and to represent the carrier to the shipper, correct ? Now, I'm not trying to be harsh here, but do you know anything at all about trucking ? Or do you know anything at all about shipping ? Where along the lines did you decide, "yes, I can do this, this would be a good job for me ?"

Or if I'm wrong, then how would you define your job. Buy low, sell high, turn a profit like selling knives or something ? Even knife salesman likely know a thing or two about knives. Hopefully, as much about knives as possible.

I'll offer some advice, if you have a load like the one you posted, Lake City to Miami, and you want to move it, a good way to do it is to package it with something coming out....

$850 in, and $800 back to Lake City and you generate interest...

End up somewhere like $950 in and $900 out and call it done.

If his main freight is FL lumber heading south, the odds are great that he doesn't have any of the elusive northbound freight out of Miami.

Maybe someone should volunteer to let him tarp or untarp your load for you in 95 degree miami . Im not touching a tarp for less than 3 bucks a mile anywhere much less deal with a tarp twice in one day
