How do I get into a dump or rolloff driver position?

    You'll also learn which materials are good to dump as well. You can get away with a little bit of an angle when you're dumping crushed stone or dry sand, but wet clumpy dirt can be a pain since it could stick on one side of the box. Make sure you clean the box out at the end of the day, even after every dump if it's starting to build up. Keep your lights and license plate clean and don't have loose material hanging out of the box. Pay attention to your mudflaps too, I've seen plenty of guys (myself included) rip 'em off at one point or another. Always handy to keep a spare so the DOT won't mess with you.

    Keep a small shovel (always) and a scraper in case you're doing asphalt. Make sure the outside of the box isn't cluttered with dirt that could fall off on the roadways either.
