I could not agree more. Having seen first hand what military wives go through I know exactly what you are referring to. I have always made it a rule to personally know the family members of my people. And to be honest, I could care less for the reasoning, if my driver wants to be home at a certain time that is all I need to know. I will do what I can to facilitate that request regard less of why he or she wants it. Just because some thing may not seem important to me does not mean it is not very important to some one else. I will not ask for an explanation.

You're gonna be #### good, and another one of those very few I would stand behind.

I am counting on them as much if not more so than they are counting on me.

Not many see us that way. I have been "dissed" by more dispatchers and more owners than I can count.... (Beat the stuffing out of one dispatcher for it too!) What most company owners do not realize that in a time of crisis, an "army" of ticked off/ motivated women can be scary indeed! LOL!

Well, I cannot say I am real good when it comes to socializing. Many people think I am a prick when we first meet because of my mannerisms. But, I am far from it and it is my wife that picks up the slack in that area. She helps me get to know the family members and does things I may not think of when it comes to the socializing thing. So I know the spouses of the drivers are just as important. When I hire a driver, I am hiring his family as well.

LOL! When I first met my husband's boss, my first impression was "what an obnoxious prick!" Now, I'm always happy to see him. His loyalty to his people is very strong, and though he can be a little rough around the edges, it doesn't bother me. He's a good man, and one I am proud to count among my people!

That is why I do not take the first impression into account when I form an opinion about some one.
